INTELLIGENT CONTROL OF YOUR BUILDINGS

Helios with its new collection for the Smart Building has developed sensors and devices for the regulation and control of heating to save energy, but also innovative warning devices for the rapid detection and effective protection against water leaks as well as a wide range of devices.

Helios has integrated in its multiprotocol servers, the ” LoRaWan ” protocol secured to integrate any type of IOT within a range of 5 to 10 km

AN INNOVATIVE AND ECONOMICAL TECHNOLOGY

No cables

The radio link does not require any cables to communicate with the building automation system. For each ten-meter power cable (NYY3 x 1.5mm) approximately 2.3 kg of material is saved. An environmental and budgetary advantage.

No batteries

Energy harvesting enables battery-free and maintenance-free solutions for building automation. The energy needed to send information to a sensor is recovered directly from its environment: movement (no matter how small), pressure, light, temperature or vibration. The sensor does not rely on batteries or the mains.

No limits

For home automation or building automation, radio solutions are used in renovation or new construction. There are already countless product combinations and new products are constantly being developed.

TECHNOLOGIES

Battery-free wireless technology has a special place in the wireless market. Devices using this technology do not require cables, batteries or external power. Energy harvesting allows these components to draw power from their environment – generated by motion, solar energy or temperature differences. The ultra-low power data transmission has a range of up to 100 meters indoors and 300 meters outdoors and can be duplicated by repeaters. In the place of batteries, miniaturized solar cells, electromechanical power converters, or thermal converters provide the power needed to transmit data. This self-sustaining technology eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming maintenance that battery-powered systems require (as well as the need to store replacement batteries and dispose of depleted ones).

In the context of the Internet of Things, it provides the ability to structure a Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN), integrating low power terminal equipment through gateways.
This protocol is used in smart cities, industrial monitoring and agriculture. It is based on proprietary modulation technology. LoRa is the physical platform allowing the connection of sensors or objects requiring a long battery life (counted in years), in a volume and with a reduced cost.
LoRaWAN is the acronym for long-range wide-area network
Self-powered wireless technology has no disadvantages compared to conventional wired solutions: it is completely maintenance-free, highly reliable, extremely flexible and easy to install.
